Make it stand out
It all begins with YOU. Maybe you want to grow in your everyday life. Maybe you want to turn a negative into something positive, Or maybe you have a desire to get that promotion. Whatever it is, the way you get there is to challenge yourself to do something better today than you did yesterday.
But growth isn’t just about doing more it’s about becoming more intentional, self-aware, and impactful in how you lead and show up every day. Because in today’s world, leadership is not just about results it’s about how people experience you along the way.
WHAT IS..
OPARC (Optimist People and Resources Center) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through employment, life skills training, and community integration programs. Their mission focuses on creating opportunities for individuals to live more independent, fulfilling lives while fostering inclusion and personal growth.
Collaborating with organizations like OPARC allows HMA to deliver impactful, people-centered workshops that strengthen not only the individuals served but the leaders who support them.
Advancing leaders
Leading people is harder than ever constant change, emotional fatigue & burnout, diverse teams with diverse needs, and increased accountability. Technical skill alone is no longer enough.
Our workshop was designed to help managers and leaders rise to these challenges by building what we call The Human Advantage leaders who understand themselves, understand others, and lead with intention not reaction.
fOCUS
Emotional Intelligence mastery, Cultural fluency, and Change leadership grounded in empathy & accountability these were not just topics, they were practices.Leaders explored how to:
Strengthen self-awareness & self-regulation
Build trust through empathy and active listening
Shift from reactive to intentional leadership
Interrupt unconscious bias and lead inclusively
Because empathy without accountability creates confusion—and accountability without empathy creates resistance.
IMPACT
Mastering these capabilities results in leaders who
Stay grounded in high-pressure moments
Build stronger, more trusting relationships
Create environments where people feel respected and heard
Consistently challenge bias and shape inclusive cultures
Communicate and lead effectively across cultural differences
Navigate change by balancing compassion with clear expectations
Lead change in a way that people don’t resist—but engage with
At OPARC, this means creating spaces where people feel not only supported but valued, understood, and accountable.
Leadership is not announced it is experienced.
And when leaders commit to doing better today than yesterday, they don’t just grow themselves they transform the people, teams, and communities around them.
